Learn all of the ins and outs of raising your own backyard flock of chickens. David Blackley and daughter Pressly Williams, of Renfrow Hardware & Farms in Matthews will host us at their hardware store and share all the basics you need to know, from feed, space, and shelter requirements to breed selection and answering various FAQs, including do you need to have a rooster to get eggs from your hens? Day-old baby chicks, tame full-grown hens, and a sample backyard chicken pen will all take part in this class.
