Description

When working with ceramics, the creative possibilities are endless and every piece has the potential to be unique. In this class, Emily Jordan of Pinch Pot Love will teach the method of Sgraffito, meaning “to scratch” in Italian. We’ll start by viewing a demonstration on how to make a pinch pot, and then move into guided hands-on instruction with a pre-made ceramic piece to make our own by adding texture and design through carving and glazing techniques. Emily will be firing our pieces following class to round out the process. Once they’re complete, we’ll reach out via email so you can pick up your masterpiece.

Materials

SkillPop and Pinch Pot Love are happy to provide all materials needed for this class. However, please note that we do recommend bringing an apron and/or wearing clothing that you don't mind getting dirty!
