Gardening Basics

Come learn the secret to finding your inner green thumb at this beginner gardening class! We'll meet at Renfrow Farms and talk about raised beds, healthy soil, seed and plant variety selection, organic fertilizer and watering requirements, and walk through the "Poor Renfrow's Almanac" planting calendar. Since we'll be on a working farm, we'll also look at plant spacing in Renfrow Farms' own fields and raised beds. In this climate, you can have something to plant and something to eat from your own garden 365 days of the year. We will wrap the evening up chatting about seeds and more at Renfrow Hardware, a short walk down the road.

No materials required, but please come ready to get your hands a bit dirty! You'll also be walking through a farm for this class; comfortable footwear is recommended.
