Once you register, you’ll get an email detailing everything you need to know - location information, materials, and more. We provide everything you need for the majority of our classes, so if no materials are in the email you can just bring yourself! If you’re taking a computer-based class like graphic design or digital illustration, you’ll definitely need to bring a laptop.
Yes! You should get an email as soon as you register, and then a quick reminder a day or two before the class. Check your promotion tab in Gmail if you don’t see it - sometimes they like to hide there.
Don’t give up! We are constantly opening new class dates, and we offer every class multiple times throughout the year. Email subscribers learn about our new classes before anyone else, so the best advice we have is to sign up for our newsletter here. You’ll get a list of new classes in your inbox every Tuesday morning, and you’ll also get the inside scoop for news or updates about all things SkillPop.
At this time, we don’t offer waitlists.
We love hearing SkillPop class suggestions and try to take them all into account as we roll out new classes. If you have an idea (or 10) for a topic that would make for a great pop-up class, let us know all about it by contacting us here.
We are always accepting proposals for new classes! If you have experience in a skill that you would love to teach/share, we’d love to hear more. Think of your class proposal as an overview of how you would like to structure and design a two-hour class. Great things to include in your proposal would be: an outline of the topic(s) you want to teach, what students should expect to learn, materials required (and cost, if possible!), and anything else you feel like we should know!
Once you’ve arranged your proposal, you can submit it here. From there, we will review it and see if your class proposal sounds like a good fit for our upcoming class schedule! Please allow 6 weeks for proposal review.
As we continue to expand, we love to have contacts in the event that our subjects call for multiple teachers. Feel free to reach out so we can keep in contact with you for the future.
Life happens! We’re able to transfer your registration or issue class credit as long as we receive at least 48 hours of notice. If you’re within 48 hours of the class taking place, we’re unable to make any transfers or changes because the materials have been purchased and the teacher is paid based on final registration numbers.
However, class registration is always transferrable! Just shoot us a quick email and let us know the name of the person taking your place so we can swap it out on our roster.
Absolutely! Gift cards are available in our Shop and are valid for any class up to $30, or for $30 off any of our other classes. If you’ve got a friend who likes learning new things or if you just want to give the gift of a local experience, you’ve come to the right place.
