Always wanted to play with watercolors? This class provides the perfect opportunity to explore your creative side while learning fundamental watercolor techniques, and familiarizing yourself with some recommended art supplies. Local artist Barb Toland will go over the basics during a guided hands-on lesson covering methods for color mixing and maximizing textures by incorporating the use of tools such as watercolor pencils and salt. We’ll also learn a fun new technique as Barb shows us how to use droplets of rubbing alcohol to add lots of interest and texture to a painting. Leave with the knowledge and basic skills needed to continue practicing on your own, as well as a vibrant one-of-a-kind painting of a Monet inspired water lily to keep and show off!
