Description

Always wanted to play with watercolors? This class provides the perfect opportunity to explore your creative side while learning fundamental watercolor techniques, and familiarizing yourself with some recommended art supplies. Local artist Barb Toland will go over the basics during a guided hands-on lesson covering methods for color mixing and maximizing textures, by incorporating the use of tools such as crayons & salt. Barb will also show you a painting method that will add spontaneity & an abstract quality to your painting, by working wet-on-wet or "alla prima". There will be lots of fun splashing of color! Leave with the knowledge and basic skills needed to continue practicing on your own, as well as a vibrant one-of-a-kind abstract fall leaf painting to keep and show off just in time for fall!
