Join local calligrapher Lindsey Huff for a basic introduction to pen and ink calligraphy. This gorgeous form of writing is also known as pointed pen calligraphy - and with so many different options when it comes to supplies, getting started can feel overwhelming! In this class, we’ll replace intimidation with knowledge as Lindsey provides an approachable rundown on the basics of a calligraphy pen, differences in nibs and holders, and how to use them. Once we’re familiar with recommended supplies and how to use them, we’ll receive a guided step-by-step lesson on how to form basic strokes as we work through a simple alphabet. By the end of class, you’ll have an understanding of the fundamentals and a workbook to continue practicing and perfecting your calligraphy skills at home!
