Beginner Hand Embroidery

Have you ever considered trying your hand at embroidery, but weren’t quite sure where to start? In this class, embroidery artist Valerie Evans of Plaid Love Threads will provide guided instruction on the steps to create a fun piece of hoop art. She'll cover basic embroidery tools and materials, and you'll learn and practice basic stitches alongside her. Valerie will also share helpful tips and resources so you can continue your exploration of embroidery.

By the end of class, you’ll be ready to work on an embroidery pattern designed just for you, and you’ll leave with the basic knowledge and skills to complete your own unique work of art!

Can’t make it to the live session? Not to worry - you'll automatically receive access to a replay the day after class.

To follow along with this class, you'll need a 6x6 piece of cotton fabric, 4-inch embroidery hoop, an embroidery needle, and embroidery floss. We’ll send out a detailed list of additional materials before class, as well as a free pattern from Valerie for you to work on after class.

This beginner-level class is perfect for anyone wanting to try their hand at embroidery. No prior experience required!
